October is here! Hooray! Hooray!

October is my absolute favorite month. It’s the month I got married and the month I gave birth to my daughter. In places other than this godforsaken desert (which I now refer to as “Hades, Jr.”) the leaves change color and school children take field trips to cider mills and pumpkin patches. And of course there’s Halloween! What a marvelous excuse to decorate your house with glittery pumpkins and skulls and cobwebs and ghosts made of toilet paper!
