It’s always a treat when I get a phone call from Arizona Bride to submit new samples. This time was no exception and I’m so excited they decided to feature two of my wonderful clients’ invitations.

Mark & Cortney were married at a historical country club in Pennsylvania and contacted me to create something traditional, floral and romantic. We created stationery that featured shades of pink, green, taupe and deep brown. I loved the end result – traditional and romantic with a bold, graphic twist. We also incorporated dupioni silk ribbon into the invitations and programs. Oh dear, can I just take a moment to profess my love for dupioni? It’s lovely and fantastic and I get excited every time a bride selects it for her stationery. Mark & Cortney’s stationery is circled below (1&2).

Lindsey & Brandon were a positively smashing couple who married at The Country Club at DC Ranch in North Scottsdale. This gorgeous location served as the inspiration for their stationery, designed in shades of brown and green. We incorporated an ornate pattern along with their monogram on all pieces and it brought everything together so well. Lindsey was an absolute dynamo in the planning process and it’s no wonder she’s now an Associate Event Planner with the Outstanding Occasions gals (who also planned her wedding to perfection). Lindsey & Brandon’s Save the Date cards and favor labels are shown below, circle 4.

The new issue of Arizona Bride is now on newsstands and I’m so excited to see that both Shannon & Cody and Teresa & Mike’s weddings have been featured! In addition to these beautiful weddings, my work was also featured in an invitations piece entitled “First Impressions”.

So excited to share that Kelly Ashworth Design is featured in the new issue of Bride & Bloom magazine! When the ultra talented, super funny and all around nice/celebrity/wedding planner/online media expert Liene Stevens of Blue Orchid Weddings asked me to contribute to a feature she was putting together, I was ecstatic.

We had a very short amount of time to put this together, but I was really excited with the low key vibe of this particular project. Liene was told to work around shades of yellow, so she opted for a casual picnic-y look with special focus on attainable chic that would be easy for the everyday gal to recreate.

This lemon tart from Sweet Pea Bakery is making my mouth water. I need the recipe. Or directions to the bakery. Stat.

Favors were incorporated into the table decor in the form of pretty bottles of lemonade with tags denoting a donation for Pink Initiative. This is a great idea for brides who want to show support for their favorite cause and still keep their guests well hydrated with a delicious beverage!

I created accordion style invitations in shades of spring green and yellow, and tied them together with some cute gingham ribbon I found at my local craft store. (You may notice the bride and groom’s names: James & Pamela. Will my obsession with “The Office” never end?)

I was positively giddy when I got the mail today because in addition to bills and miscellaneous catalogs, I received a disc of images from the “Tickled Pink” spread that you can see in the new issue of Phoenix Bride & Groom Magazine.

Ben Quillinan, photographer genius from BQ Photography, was kind enough to share the images from this amazing shoot. I am still in complete awe of the way it all came together. What started as a “pink, black and white table” soon morphed into this insane fabulousness:

I love this paper, with its mod quatrefoil pattern on the most perfect shade of green. I was so excited I had the opportunity to share it with the world! (Or at least the greater Phoenix bridal market).

The Spring/Summer issue of yesStyle is out and I was honored to participate in one of the stories on Entertaining (‘Bloomin’ Bash’, pg. 75-80). I looooooove this magazine! It’s a great resource for great local finds, and I love the fact they show purses from Target right next to the ones from Neimans.

Christine Siegel from The Flower Studio (who is an AMAZING talent and whose website will be up soon — stay tuned!) hosts flower parties at her studio, which was the focus of the story.

To top it all off, my favoritest writer from the Rep, Jaimee Rose, wrote and styled everything to perfection.
